The Baldwin Wallace University Honors Program officially inducted 16 rising sophomore students at a pinning ceremony during the spring 2018 semester. The program strives for a learning environment inside and outside the classroom that engages the whole student, seeks to connect theoretical ideas to real world applications, fosters independent thinking and brings students together into a community of scholars.

The Baldwin Wallace University Center for Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement is pleased to announce a new class of BW Student Ambassadors, a student organization that fosters relationships between BW alumni and the University.
Forty-one kindhearted Baldwin Wallace students elected to spend their week-long spring break volunteering in five cities across the nation. Each experience, led by a BW student with support from a faculty or staff adviser, was made possible through the BW Alternative Break service program. Student volunteers traveled to Waco, Texas; Clarkston, Georgia; San Francisco; Miami; and Washington.

From ethics to beauty to Shakespeare and more, nine students pursued research of their own design under the supervision of a faculty mentor as part of BW's Summer Scholars Program. Scholars lived together for 10 weeks on campus and had extensive opportunities to engage in collaborative activities within an intellectual community. Students will give their final research presentations in April at the Summer Scholars "Passing the Torch" ceremony as part of the 2018 Ovation Festival.

Students at Baldwin Wallace University have chosen Kevin Warman as Student Body President and Annette Fetter as Vice President in recent campus-wide elections. BW's Student Government elected Ashley King as Student Senate President. The student leaders, who were inaugurated on February 25, will provide leadership for a variety of student-led initiatives on the Berea campus for the next year.
