Exceptional women recognized at Baldwin Wallace University's 125th White Rose Ceremony
The White Rose Ceremony is held annually in memory of Philura Gould Baldwin, granddaughter of BW founder John Baldwin and BW's first librarian. An oration is given and select female graduates carry white roses in memory of Philura whose life was cut short by tuberculosis at age 26. While no criteria must be met, each woman must have distinguished herself by making a difference in the BW community.

Students inducted into elite Baldwin Wallace University Honors Program
The Baldwin Wallace University Honors Program officially inducted 19 rising sophomore students at a pinning ceremony during the spring 2019 semester. The program strives for a learning environment inside and outside the classroom that engages the whole student, seeks to connect theoretical ideas to real world applications, fosters independent thinking and brings students together into a community of scholars.

Ohio Wesleyan Students Inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society
Ohio Wesleyan University inducted 23 students into the Omicron Delta Kappa national leadership honor society during a campus ceremony May 1. Omicron Delta Kappa recognizes students for excellence in leadership and character development. Founded in 1914, the national honor society seeks members who demonstrate leadership in one of five phases of campus life: scholarship; athletics; campus or community service, social and religious activities, and campus government; journalism, speech and mass media; and creative and performing arts. Undergraduate students selected for induction also must be juniors or seniors, rank in the upper 35 percent of their class, and demonstrate the five Omicron Delta Kappa ideals of scholarship, service, integrity, character, and fellowship. Congratulations to OWU's 2019 Omicron Delta Kappa inductees!

SRU senior dance majors come 'full circle' for final concert
After four years of seemingly endless rehearsals and performances - not to mention sweat and probably a few tears - 14 seniors from Slippery Rock University's Department of Dance will take the stage one final time as a group for their senior BFA dance concert, "Full Circle," at 4 p.m., April 27 at Swope Music Hall.

Baldwin Wallace University students study abroad in the fall 2018 semester
Thirty-one students spent the fall 2018 semester away from BW learning off campus. With help from the BW Study Abroad Center's Independent Study program, students created individualized immersion experiences in Australia, England, Ireland, Italy, Morocco, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Washington, D.C. and on the high seas.

BW's 18th Annual Dance Marathon raises funds to fight pediatric AIDS
Fifty-nine students participated in the 18th Annual Dance Marathon at Baldwin Wallace University. Dance Marathon is the largest philanthropy organization on campus. Lasting 12 hours, the marathon consists of performers, dance and HIV/AIDS education. All proceeds are donated to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, which seeks to educate and reduce the the transmission and cases of pediatric AIDS worldwide.

BW students spend winter break volunteering in Washington
Thirty-six compassionate Baldwin Wallace University students made a difference by volunteering at diverse destinations during 2018 winter break. The BW Alternative Break service program gives students the opportunity to spend their breaks helping others. Each experience is led by a BW student with support from a University faculty or staff adviser. Student volunteers traveled to San Antonio, Chicago, Washington, Seattle and Portland, Oregon.
